Close to 50 entrepreneurs. Eight new business ideas. Three days. Only one winner.
It was an intense weekend for technology innovators who gathered in London for the city’s first immersive tech startup event, which led to the creation of a handful of new companies built from scratch in the Forest City.
Participants had 54 hours to pitch their ideas to each other, form teams, build their business model and present their new company to a panel of expert judges.
Startup ideas included solutions to modern-day problems, including protecting artwork from artificial intelligence, improving access to scientific research and growing food that better represents London’s diverse population.
There's certainly people here that had never considered entrepreneurship but maybe had a bit of an idea in their belly that they wanted to bring forward, and we've got some folks here that are serial entrepreneurs ready to start the next big thing
