TechAlliance, Southwestern Ontario’s innovation hub that fuels growth for the most promising startups and fastest growing technology and innovation companies, is delighted to announce Jennifer Matthews as our new Vice President.
A multi-faceted individual with diverse interests spanning arts, culture, and business operations, Jennifer Matthews was the Chief Executive Officer of Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Western Ontario since 2021, after serving on the Board of Directors for BBB for five years. An entrepreneur, marketer and writer, Jennifer brings holistic expertise to the table. Her previous experience of co-building a successful retail business in London, leading the communications team at a London theatre, and writing for local, community-centric publications have helped her gain insight to business owners in and around this innovation hub.

In her new role as the Vice President, Jennifer will be accountable for articulating and executing a roadmap for business advisory, community engagement, and brand and public relations to enable TechAlliance’s strategic goals. She will also focus on the continuous advancement and promotion of London and Southwestern Ontario as one of North America’s Top Emerging Tech Markets.

With rural roots, Jennifer is an alumna of the University of Waterloo, a mother of three adult children, an avid reader of Canadian literature, a strong supporter of live theatre, and a marathoner.
