Carmen Gicante is the founder and initial Executive Director of the Southwestern Ontario Angels, and co-founder of the Windsor Essex Capital Angel Network (WECAN) based in Windsor Ontario. He serves on the Board of SWO Angels (past Chair) and is Chair of the Board of WECAN. He is an active Angel investor and also serves on the boards of several of the Angel Group’s invested companies. In addition to his 15 years experience in angel investing, he has a strong background in business development and technology commercialization.  Carmen holds a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree from McMaster University and Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business.

As Executive Director, Carmen will work closely with Dennis Ensing, CEO of Equation Angels, as well as the Executive Directors of Equation Angels’ joint venture partners: Angel One Network and Golden Triangle Angel Network to build on the vision of establishing Equation Angels as a pre-eminent angel group in North America.
