Northern Commerce, a digital transformation agency that partners with brands disrupting their markets across North America, has been recognized on the Report on Business’ list of 2021 Canada’s Top Growing Companies for the second consecutive year. The list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies ranks companies based on three-years revenue growth.
Launched in 2019, the editorial staff of Canada’s Top Growing Companies list strives to celebrate entrepreneurial achievement in Canada by identifying and amplifying the success of growth-minded, independent businesses in Canada. Companies complete an in-depth application process to qualify. In total, 448 companies earned a spot on this year’s ranking.
Since its founding in 2015, Northern has grown consistently, helping brands across North America navigate digital transformation, including several on the Top Growing Companies list such as Canada Pooch (#168), Collective Arts (#227), and Tdot Performance (#331). “We are honoured to be on the list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies alongside some of the most innovative and successful organizations in the country,” said Michael Delorenzi, President of Northern Commerce.
By leveraging leading technologies such as Acquia, Adobe, and Salesforce, Northern has helped clients achieve award-winning results and trend-reversing revenue gains. Their implementations have processed billions in revenue for online retailers and reach millions of consumers every month. “This award is a testament to the high-quality and innovative work that our teams deliver,” said Michael Delorenzi, President of Northern Commerce. “Our team is constantly identifying opportunities to elevate our clients’ brand and innovate better digital experiences—which in turn has rapidly grown our organization,” said Delorenzi.
In 2020, Northern acquired leading digital experience agency, Digital Echidna. Northern has become one of Canada’s most prominent agencies following the merger, employing over 190 experts in web development, digital marketing, and user experience design. “The ability to both grow our organization and retain employees has been a strong focus and accomplishment for Northern,” said DeLorenzi.
Northern’s continued growth, strengthened by its strong company culture, has led to recognition as a certified Great Place to Work in Canada, as one of the Best Workplaces™ for Women and Best Workplaces™ in Canada and Ontario by Great Place to Work® Canada.
“Any business leader seeking inspiration should look no further than the 448 businesses on this year’s Report on Business ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies,” says Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO of The Globe and Mail. “Their growth helps to make Canada a better place, and we are proud to bring their stories to our readers.”
