London tech entrepreneur, Ryan Kelly, has developed an online platform amid the COVID-19 crisis to connect vulnerable individuals to local volunteers who can deliver supplies to their homes.

Kelly is the founder of Ascend Applications and a GROW Accelerator alumnus whose software development startup has leveraged impressive AI-powered solutions to make the web more accessible for individuals with disabilities.

His latest initiative, “The Atrium Project”, has been launched in partnership with local community organization 519 Pursuit, and features a simple and user-friendly online tool that allows users to “Offer Help” and/or “Ask for Help”. From there, the user is prompted to submit an online form, where a volunteer may process the request and fulfill the “Help Transaction” via SMS.

Using this mechanism creates an easier entry-point for users of all technical skill levels to participate, and opens up the opportunity to scale across new channels, as the team hopes to expand the initiative globally.

We have an opportunity to support each other and make a lasting impact.
