London has a lot of names. For years, it’s been called the Forest City, and more recently it earned the designation of UNESCO City of Music.

But people working in one of the city’s rapidly growing sectors believe London could add Gaming City to the repertoire.

“London is a really interesting place because so much fantastic game development talent started here in London. They learned the trade, left for other companies, and then decided to come back home and settle in,” Digital Extremes President Sheldon Carter said.

Located in downtown London, the Digital Extremes studio is one of the largest video game development hubs in the city. It’s responsible for creating the sci-fi shooter game Warframe, which has been played by millions of people worldwide for more than a decade.
