London, ON; January 17, 2024: In November 2023, Broad Films and Joydrop Ltd. were announced as winners of TechAlliance’s London Innovation Challenge pitch competition. In a fluid innovation economy, and in market conditions like the ones facing many technology ventures today, business priorities will shift from time to time. This is the case for Joydrop Ltd. who are unable to fulfill the project they pitched for Game Slice. As such, TechAlliance is thrilled to announce Corduroy Earth as the recipient of $40,000 non-dilutive funding from London Innovation Challenge 4: Bolster Creative Industries.

A regenerative creative studio exploring the intersection of culture and emerging technology, Corduroy Earth will be utilizing this funding for a music incubator to help support grassroot-level artists and help them with a multimedia release. Planning to achieve a larger goal for this program, this creative venture will develop a proof of concept for a new economic model that maximizes revenue for these up-and-coming communities.

Bridging the gap between emerging technology and the local creative industry, we're excited that Corduroy Earth will bolster economic growth for London's artists, musicians and creators

Christina Fox, Chief Executive Officer at TechAlliance

TechAlliance remains committed to upholding the highest standards of fairness and the team looks forward to working with Corduroy Earth to help them realize their vision through this $40,000 investment.
