TiEQuest welcomes existing and aspiring entrepreneurs, patent holders and applicants and university students and alumni who may be interested in converting their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

The panel of judges of TiEQuest 2010 will be largely comprised of angel investors, venture capitalists and fund managers. The contestants will get an opportunity to present their ventures to professionals who can actually fund these businesses. Sponsoring firms, from where the judging panel will be drawn, will be offering an "Expression of Interest" for investment of up to $1,000,000 to top teams. This will provide an immediate opportunity of investment to the winner.

Features and Benefits
The top teams will receive substantial prizes in cash as well as professional services. The total value of all prizes will exceed $150,000. Various other benefits to contestants include:

There is a $100 entry fee for a venture to participate in the competition, which also entitles you to FREE one regular membership (cost $100) for a period of one year in TiE Toronto.

HTX-Silver Sponsor-$5000: As a silver sponsor, TiEQuest will be awarding a $5000 grant on behalf of HTX to the highest ranking Medical and Assistive Technology (MAT) competition entrant.  In addition, TiE Toronto will recommend participation of top three MAT teams to TiECon East (an entrepreneurial conference well attended by investors in life sciences area) to be held in Boston, MA in May/Jun 2010. TiE Toronto will also assist in facilitating meetings of these companies with VCs attending the conference.
