When I moved to London from the way off land of Guelph three years ago, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a leap for me to leave a place where my friends and family lived, and settle into a city completely unknown to me. Luckily, I made friends with someone well-known in the London business community, one Ms. Jodi Simpson.
After getting to know Jodi, and learning more about her role at TechAlliance, I knew the organization was the place for me. Tech, business, education and outreach - all right up my alley. And as an added bonus, there was an opening for a communications role!
My years at TechAlliance have been nothing short of eye-opening. I've worked with a tremendous team dedicated to building something pretty phenomenal for our tech community, be it through our business acceleration services, programs or next-generation talent development. In the end, we all march toward the same goal: making London's tech sector a benchmark for business success and innovation. Whether it was TechAlliance's first growth strategies conference this past year, learning more about our member community by writing about them for our Business London column, or working closely with some of the city's tech leaders as part of the Technology Leadership Council, I can say I'll never have another job quite like this one. The relationships built in my time at TechAlliance I'm proud to carry forward into my new role and are truly the highlight of my experiences here.
And now it's someone else's turn, because we're hiring! If you have any questions about the role or TechAlliance, ask away in the comments section below.
Disclosure: This blog idea was fully and totally co-opted from coder extraordinaire Gavin Blair (rtraction) who recently posted about a job he "less than three's"

Aren't we a fun bunch?!
