About this session

In the last thirty years, the range of marketing options and opportunities for marketers has expanded dramatically. Once upon a time there was only a limited choice between TV and print. Now there are a wide range of media from direct mail to the Internet supported by new technologies such as Social Media. Increasingly board rooms are asking marketing managers to justify or prove the effectiveness of the marketing budget.

Measuring the return on your marketing investment is critical to understanding whether or not you should keep, quit or change marketing efforts. After all, who has money to waste?

About Peter Watson

Peter founded Response Generators in 1989. Since then, he has been the driving force behind their success, drawing on his 35 years of experience to build successful products, campaigns, and relationships for their clients.

Throughout his career, Peter has witnessed or contributed to major changes in marketing strategy, particularly when it comes to technology. Early in his career, he worked on Telidon trials, which were the precursor to our modern Internet, with Cableshare and Rogers Inc. He also managed the introduction of mall-based interactive media for a joint venture between the Blackburn Group and Cableshare Inc. called Videopress.

As President, Peter sets the tone at Response Generators. His insight on all aspects of marketing, coupled with his focus on value for service, forms the foundation for their work and approach. For almost 20 years, his philosophy has helped them generate response for hundreds of satisfied clients.
