Scitax Advisory Partners LP, has just released an updated version of its guidance document “Introduction to R&D Tax Credits in Canada”. The document provides a straight-forward, plain language, introduction to Canada’s SR&ED tax credit system and features fully worked examples showing how SR&ED benefits are calculated. The example calculations show how SR&ED benefits dovetail with normal business deductions and how the benefits change for different sized corporations.
Scitax managing director David Hearn says “There’s a lot of information around on this topic, but most of it is aimed at accountants. What we’ve produced here is a document aimed at scientists, engineers and technology entrepreneurs who need to understand the concepts behind these tax credits so they can make more effective business plans.”
