Mirroring real-world scientific research, the Sanofi-Aventis BioTalent Challenge (SABC) drives students to broaden their horizons and challenge their intellect in the field of biotechnology.
Taking place at the London Convention Centre, student teams present their research projects and compete to win cash prizes totalling $7,500 and scholarships to The University of Western Ontario, Wilfrid Laurier University and The University of Waterloo. The Beakers for Teachers auction over the noon hour gives teachers the chance to fight for the resources they need to make classroom science exciting.
The Awards Ceremony and Dinner follows in the evening to recognize and celebrate all of the regional participants’ success. The winning teams are announced and special awards will be presented, including the Mentor of Distinction.
