This year the Business Cares Food Drive launched their new website www.businesscares.ca, in support of the London and Area Food Bank.

Last year Business Cares delivered 161,000 lbs of food to the London and Area Food Bank. This was enough food to feed 3,572 families of four for four days! The Business Cares Food Drive looks for local businesses to register, donate and recognize that “taking care of business means taking care of people”.

Through the generous donation of a website from London web development company, Echidna Solutions Corp., Business Cares hopes to reach out to a larger demographic for support this year and have over 300 businesses registered, making this year’s food drive even better!

The website allows Business Cares participants to register and donate online making the process as simple and as quick as possible to take part in the food drive. “Today people and businesses are busier than ever. It has been our observation that having an online registration form and an online donation account increases the number of participants in any campaign, since the process takes just a few minutes to complete”, explains Andrew McClenaghan, Principal Owner of Echidna.

Business Cares Food Drive Committee Member, Victor Harris, believes that the new website “will increase the audience who learns about and participates in the food drive, which will only increase the number of registrations and donations that Business Cares receives this year”.
